Yesterday woke up at 4.15am in the morning, thought I can get ready by 5+ but end up still kelam kabut coz I have not pack my small backpack. Yep, I planned to Walk the whole 10km with my backpack. We left the house at 5.30am and pick up Jynn on the way and reach Sunway Pyramid by 6+. There’s so many ppl join the run, and I reckon that the Adidas Organizer is way better than the one by Standard Chartered, for they have Fitness Keloggs for Breakfast served to us, Power Bar given at dunno which booth, Milo before and after the run, plenty of Muscle Pain cream/ spray before, along and after the run. Most of all, its such a colourful event!! The Adidas shirt is so colourful, they’ve got Pink and Neon Yellow, Yellow and White, Orange and White, Blue and Orange I like this shirt better than the one I got from Solomon and Standard Chartered in comparison. On 2nd thought, I might join again for the Adidas Run Next year. haha for the goodies again
Before the run start, took photo first.
We waited for the 16.8km flag off before the 10km 30 mins later. While waiting for the 10km run to start, 15 minutes later we already saw the 16.8km runner almost reaching the finish line!! WTF right? The name King of the Road really fits them. Freaking fast lor. Less than 30 minutes to finish 16.8km run siao!
Here’s a photo at the beginning of the run..
Almost all of them were running like so energetic like that. Before they reach km, some of them started to walk, then 2km many started to slow down, 3km want to die like that but the water station save me and them. Continue 4km, 5km, 6km many are walking and being disillusion like when is it going to be over???? 9km like want to faint and just sit there on the road to wait for the bus to pick me up but so many ppl looking I dare not do it.
Then.. saw the sign 1.2km to Finish!! Thank God I am going to finish the run soon.. then 800 metres to finish Line… (God help me!!!!) then I saw people cheering nearer to the finish line and more people approaching the finish line and then many started to run while I still following my own slow pace walking.
I thought since so many ppl looking I should run too to the finish line at least. The organizer also put up a 200 metres sign to the finish line so a bit of Kiasu in me I started to run.
Holy Cow!!!
Why is 200 metre longer than 1km? Why the Finish line is so far away… why lah.. why.. and I am fighting for my breath already BUT I cannot stop at 100 or 160 metre right. That is humiliating!! So Finish it at 200 metre run and stop at 201 metre and go back to walking and catching my breath.
I made it!!!
10KM in 1:30hrs (dunno how many seconds I want to faint dy lah)
Its a 10 km walk -run-walk faster-run abit- walk run walk Adidas King of the Road 2011.
My medal and if you didn’t know I am TyngYng that day from 6.30-9am.
