Client Appreciation Night- One World

Hello there.. I am suppose to blog about this weeks ago, I had such a good time at the Client Appreciation Cocktail hosted by One World hotel and I am no longer their customer actually. Probably still a potential as I contacted them right after the party for an appointment but still I have not the chance to visit them after my MIL funeral and away for a week and came back to office to clear all pending work.

Before the party starts, non-stop serving of canapes and cocktail drinks for invited guests.

The party Theme ask for creative.. I guess it means Phantom?

Plenty of food served with generous servings and choices. I love the peking duck.. it taste so good!

Dumplings in double boiled soup, very tasty (got scallop too!!!)

Performance by Dennis Lau, Shawn Lee and also Shafinaz Selamat with her lovely ballad song Mahkota.

After their performances, I went to the toilet and saw them, so I asked for a photo together. (Muka tebal I know wahahahha)

To my surprise the doorgift was better than what I expect, thought they give you pen or something that I will just give it away, coz I dont like to keep things that I dont need/ use.

Christang Delicious Pork Burger

Ooooh yes.. Pork Burger (drools)

A friend recommended this place for a delicious pork burger meal and Christang is located at Avenue 8, a short distance drive from our home, pretty convenient.

Eventhough I’ve grown from fat to fatter, nevermind about my weight now coz its PORK! furthermore I went jogging earlier and burned a hundred calories so I’m allowed to chow down a thousand calories of pork meal.

* eyes rolling*

Again.. its Pork! Who cares about calories

Christang @ Avenue 8 is located at the opposite of PJ Hilton, that’s the only landmark I can describe or ex-Thrifty Supermarket which I assume PJ-ians should know. The interior of the restaurant, cozy, romantic and quiet. Inside you can also find lots of small and cute piggie memorabilias decorating every corner of the restaurant.

You got to to love pork to come to this restaurant.

Oh Forgot to mention… they have this fantastic chopped petai sambal with minced pork (add on) that is so delicious!!! (Okay I know Jynn hates petai ) Stink Bean aka Petai the name speak for its own, its smelly (click here wikipedia for petai) but I never eaten any petai ever since I got married and I want to eat it that day eventhough Hubby swears he wont kiss me that night (Stupid husband forbid me, said I will stink his toilet too)

Here’s the Pork burger I ordered – The Urban Legend with the chopped petai sambal.. Yummeh!!!! Drools… The petai sambal taste was just right, not pungent just a little hint of the petai and … my hubby who hates petai ate it too. The pork burger were served with a huge portion of the pork patty, bacon bits, melted cheese, Onion rings, picked cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce and fried potatoes wedges.

I can’t finish the pork burger *damn*

This one if not mistaken is Tandoori Pork Burger. Still Urban Legend wins! It taste better.

Hubby ordered the conventional Pork Burger, with Bacon and Pork patties. Urban Legend wins again.. The chopped petai sambal is just awesome

I’ll definitely re-visit Christang again for the delicious Pork burger with PETAI.

My Niece Drunk Face & B2ST

My BIL and the whole family was here for the weekend, err 2 weeks ago because my 3 nieces got 3 VIP Complimentary tickets for the Beast Fan Meeting Asia Tour from their other aunt.

How nice….

Shynn even posted on FB ‘ Going down to KL for 8.30 B2ST concert. So Random+=)’ haha. It was a surprise as my BIL just started his new job on that day and be able to take the time off.

Lynn was so convinced the night before, if the ticket price is RM388 and above their PaPa will definitely drive them to KL. True enough!!

The B2ST concert was on Friday. Then on Saturday all of them went shopping at Isetan KLCC. This time, the big spender is the PaPa and he got a whole new wardrobe of working clothes for his new job/ promotion. They did not go to other boutiques except just at Isetan itself. Luckily Isetan started sale that weekend so I guess they save really a lot shopping at the store.

Oh.. Saturday morning we went for Dim Sum in Sg Buloh and also I got 12 bottles of Ironstone vineyards’ Obssession Symphony Chardonnay. My BIL bought 12 bottles of Baron De Prats and also 12 bottles of Obssession as well. My post of the wine mania here.

At night, we were so eager to taste the Chardonnay again. Just myself and my 2 SIL drank one bottle of Obssession and Baron de Prats. My niece had a glass of Obssession and she is drunk.

By the way, she owe me RM50 coz she bet with me she will never get drunk. [Actually I made the bet with her when she is already drunk]

Wine Mania

Recently we have been drinking wine at home more often than we used to be 5 years ago. There’s no special occasion to celebrate but we will just open a bottle or two to enjoy at home. Then one day out of nowhere hubby got a text message from his brother, recommending him a bottle of wine and the address of the wine house. So Hubby has been keeping it until last month when we almost finish our wine supplies at home we made a trip to check out the wine that BIL recommend. Since then we made 2 trips to the same wine house and I think we’re going again sometime soon. You’ll see why later.

Here’s the bottles of wine we got last weekend.

This is the bottle of wine we bought at first, Baron de Prats. It is surprisingly inexpensive and I love the aromas of the red wine! The taste of the wine is easy to drink for me too, I hate wines that gives bitter aftertaste. So we went back and bought a box of 6 to keep. I can also use this wine to cook (and cheat drink) heh heh heh heh

Another bottle of wine that I would REALLY like to recommend ( I stuggle a bit here as I’m selfish to share about the goodness of this wine). The name of the wine, Obsession really suits the wine. I can say its very hard to get a good white wine, and this one I can’t imagine not being able to buy it anymore. So I am heading back to the wine house to get more of it. Once you open the bottle, you can smell the beautiful aromatic and fruitiness of the white wine and the taste is so beautiful I enjoyed every drop of it . I wish I could open another bottle only for myself to drink.

We bought this bottle of wine too because its on sale. Can’t describe because we haven’t tried it yet.

We spend about RM500+ just for the wines last weekend but really can’t help it. The wine house is having a SALE and we kiasu scare it’ll be out of stock.
