Are you serious? What PRS
Posted by blurcheryl in Family & Friends, Gorgeous in the Making on September 9, 2011
Heeee, after the SCKL Run last July, I thought Hubby was serious shit when he told me he will not join another run in the future. He is actually quite proud of himself to be able to finish the run by really running and not just walk to the finish line.
Then he enrolled in the Adidas King Run in October the following Monday after SCKL and did not learn a thing I posted about the PRS. [Dont know what is PRS? Click here]
Even before I can totally forget about the torture of getting up early, Hubby and I enrolled ourself in Solomon X-trail run pulak!
*knock my head to the wall*
Yeah! I shouldn’t have enrolled myself to yet another run.
BUT I AM SUCH A SUCKER FOR THEIR FREEBIES!!!
Anyway, the X-Trail run is this Sunday -11th September 2011 and I am not confident to be able to complete the run. I guess once I start I can’t stop halfway coz I am in the middle of the UPM park and they wouldn’t have a bus to pick me up right?
Lets hope I can finish the 10km run in the given 3 hours time and I wont get lost in the park!!!
But then again, I am toying with the idea of not going for the run.
I am worried and miserable now
Made in Green
Posted by blurcheryl in Gorgeous in the Making, Shopping Bag Explode on August 18, 2011
Recently, I bought a lacey singlet from Mango and it has this different price tag with the logo, Made in Green.
CERTIFICATION ¨made in Green¨
Then I go dig from the internet with the assumption that probably the material of the cloth made of organic cotton (ya lah for the price I pay I thought I can get organic cotton haha).
Made in Green as described in Aitex website, is a label on a product which stands for Green quality based on three pillars:
Contains no Noxious substances.
Respect Environment
Social Criteria with respect of human rights and universal human rights.
For the social criteria, its comparison of western textile with the China textile I think, coz China textile are dirt cheap and no western manufacturer can fight with them on the pricing at all I presume, hence their objective (copied) “Made in Green” is that globalisation goes hand in hand with the three precepts described above, and that market competence is not achieved at a human cost, but justly and with equality, as is laid down under western law.
Also bought a vest from Bershka, a new brand available in Mid Valley, their apparels are so young and hip!! I have been looking for a cute vest and at last found it at Bershka so happy!!! (psst.. wear vest so my boobs looks bigger)
You all after reading this post, if I didn’t post anything on my blog tomorrow means I am in trouble, my hubby murder me for overspending again.

I cut my hair again
Posted by blurcheryl in Gorgeous in the Making, Musings and Rants, Uncategorized on July 6, 2011
I am so angry at myself.
This time summo cut so short. It was horrible when my hair at neckline shoulder length in between and it started to look messy . I look dull, old and I started to part my hair in the middle for a change. Still my biggest enemy that trigger me to go for a cut was the hot weather. I couldn’t stand it!!
I want to grow long hair geh mah, gone crazy fanatic one day and there I chop off my hair again without much consideration. Its so hard to grow long hairs, I imagine for years to have long hairs. There’s so much I can do to my hair, like curl it, straighten it, tie a bun, wear hair accessories and many more. I suppose it also cost higher to maintain long hairs.
Hubby did not protest or stop me from cutting my hair. He would raise his both hands or even his legs to support my decision because he said I look ugly with longer hair. fml
I am freaking angry now. Maybe its hormonal imbalance watever. I am angry! I want to grow long hairs as soon as possible. Nope hair extension or wearing wig is not an option for me!
Whatsapp this photo to hubby and he said I hidung besar. He is a Moron!
TweetSCKL 2011 Run and PRS

If you are an amateur like me, lazy like me, low stamina like me, hates sweaty exercise like me, fat like me, prefer sleep more than exercise like me, need lots of sleep like me you will have Pre Run Syndrom (PRS) like
- Look like vampire in the morning
- Swearing %$%## the night before
- Questioning if ever could Finish the run
- Swearing not to participate in any other run in the future
- Will consider chicken out
- Imagine getting sick
Posting this based on PRS I experienced, it was the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2011 yesterday at Dataran Merdeka, I participated in 5km Fun Run, while Hubby and his friends went for the 10km Run. The SCKL 5km Fun Run start at 08:00am in the morning, while the 10KM Run starts at 07:00am.
I woke up as early as 04:15am in the morning to get ready. [I just need 15 minutes to get ready but I have to wake up this early because Hubby needs time to take a dump. fml] Then we head to Kelana Jaya LRT Station and Anna was with me with the rest of Hubby’s friend. We took the LRT to Masjid Jamek and later walk to Padang Merbuk where we start the run. Feel a bit of second class because the Full Marathon and Half Marathon Run get to start at Dataran Merdeka and its more happening there.
Here’s a picture of Anna, background is the makeshift toilet, what a sight! You wont see my photo’s here I look like Chubby Vampire!
Here’s a photo while waiting for the 10km Run to start. We just sat at the road side. ‘Mau Gai’ (in cantonese). Anna what’s with the peace sign?!! She’s wearing her new NB shoe!
The 10km runners started running or mostly walk first, there’s too many people. The guy in the black shirt is the pacemaker.
Then we went to a tent nearby and did some early group stretching lead with Kiko, my colleague and took several photos at the start line by the professional photographer hired by our company. While waiting for the 5km Fun Run, we saw Spiderman. Spiderman need to run geh meh?
I start by running for the 1st km, then walk and run for the next 1km then run again on the slope going down for the next 2km and lastly I walk for the last km. I stop running because I pissed off (tu lan ) I cannot finish the run in 30 minutes.
By the time I reached the Bank Negara its already 8.25am and I have another 1 km to run. So I started walking, smell some nasi briyani, taking pictures at Jalan TAR, Facebooking, crossing the main road really slow enjoying the sight of some motorist stoped by the police due to road closure.
For the last 100 metre I ran to the finish line because I dont want to look like a looser.
By the time I reached the Finish line, Hubby and his friends already waiting for me. Here’s the photo of the 3 villains, they are the one who started the idea to participate.
For the 10km run finisher, they will get this cool medal.
For 5km Fun Run, I got the Certificate of Participating.
After the run, if you are like me, you might have Post Run Syndrom like:
- Have stimulating smell – Strong perfume add with sweat
- Messy Hair
- Blushing skin, and the Vampire is gone
- Be impressed [if able to finish]
- Shaky Legs
- Doesn’t want to get near others, because they are smellier
- Develop No Touching Syndrom, everybody’s sweaty
Because I have an Amateur Runner Husband, so my Post Run Syndrom also includes:
- Hearing him repeatedly saying ’I will not Join and get into this again’ eventhough he do remarkably well by running whole 9km and walk the rest
- Listening to ‘Oooh & Arghh’ every single time he move a muscle
For participating the SCKL Run the whole experience also includes
- Waking up 6 hours earlier than a usual beautiful Sunday
- Spending 2 hours waiting for the run to start looking depressed
- Run and Walk for 40 minutes to 1 hour
- Taking the rest of the day at home sleep, wake up, sleep again, wake up, sleep again
At the end of all these, this morning my Hubby asked me if I would like to go for the Adidas King Run in October. OMG, he want me to die meh? 10KM is not Fun anymore!!
Thank God the Registration is close for the Female runners & I prefer to sleep!

5km
There will be road closure around Kuala Lumpur City. So don’t come anywhere near here if you doesn’t want to be caught in traffic on a Sunday. Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
For more information of the road closure, click-here
Show you my Marathon Bib! Cool huh! Will you wish me luck by the way?

As the Marathon day getting nearer, I am actually having cold feet as the thought of running in a marathon scares me. It has been a million years literally since I participated to run in a marathon. It was still school days the last I run a 10km and I am amaze at this age, I am game for this. Its crazy! What have I get myself into btw?
At first I was really excited when I registered for the run and started to train by running around the house compound to build my stamina. Then 3 weeks ago, I got lazy and have not train at all and last night I run again, 1 round and I got flat tire. Pamcit jor..how? How can I manage to finish such a long distance?
Arghh!!! I am extremely worried.
I wish I can finish the marathon without the need to flag down the shuttle bus to go back to the finish line. Will be really embarrassing right? haha
I guess, I am going for the Walkshakebutt SCKL Marathon 2011 instead.
TweetRose Rose I Love you!
Posted by blurcheryl in Gorgeous in the Making, Shopping Bag Explode on June 22, 2011
My mini haul last 2 weeks at Isetan. They were having Members Alert Double Points promotion and coincidentally I need to replenish Anna Sui make up.
My discovery on Anna Sui’s product started 3 years ago and what attracted me was their Rose Blossom packaging. Their counter is also very nicely decorated in black and purple. So nice! If you didn’t already knew, I am a sucker for anything Rose and I got the Gorgeous White Rose Compact Case and Face Powder as a start.

I really love their powder foundation comes with SPF28 for their flawless natural coverage. It also offers smooth and silky finish on my face. By the way, I never bought a 2nd casing so far as mine look as good as new, very durable. [I drop it a few times. I am clumsy.]
Meanwhile let me share with you the other 3 Anna Sui’s product I bought from the counter just added to my collection.
#1 – Anna Sui’s Spot Concealer
It is in liquid form, they used to have it in concealer stick but have since discontinued the product which I think is also great. Both is very easy to blend. The liquid one has lighter coverage but its pigment colour is quite strong so it does work as promised, to conceal!
Look at the Rose Cap
Nice!!!
#2 Anna Sui’s Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation.
Usually I use only the compact powder, then I started using the liquid foundation sample I got from the counter and fall in love with it. The foundation contains rose hip oil, raspberry fruit extract, grape seed oil and olive oil. They are all natural ingredients filled with antioxidants that help rejuvenate tired and dreary dry skin. Thumbs up for this! The consistency of the liquid foundation will automatically make your face look more moisturized and dewy without the greasiness feel.
#3 Loose Powder
Its beautiful Jar totally blew me off! Its a must get and the sales girl said I can use it to store accessories when I finish the jar (another reason for me to buy it). Oh did I tell that every product of Anna Sui’s has very mild rose scent? Absolutely Love it!! The fine milled face powder gives a soft touch with natural translucent and smooth look after the foundation application. Highly recommended! They do have White Colour Jar for the loose powder but not suitable for me, because it comes with a bit of shimmer and not good for my acne prone skin, if not I would have opt for the White colour Jar heh heh.

Freebies time!!!
Before this, I went to the same Isetan Anna Sui’s Counter and the sales girl told me if I bought RM350 and above and I get some freebies. The fat sales girl did not smile, got those cocky look. Hello!! I am a potential customer, I doesn’t look like $$ to you meh? I pissed off with her look and decided not to buy from her and left. Okay that was last month when Isetan having their sale.
This time I went back to the same counter and they have different sales girl, which is much more friendly, I ask her lots of questions on the product, her recommendation and advise ~ lastly I decided to buy the 3 items. Then I told her I like both the tote and the pillow which I suppose can only get either one but she allowed me to have both! Yey!!! Learn this from Anna.. must sincerely PR dulu then easy to ask for more freebies geh.
Here are the freebies I got. She even gave me additional samples, miniature bottles of Anna Sui’s product and ask me not to tell. I am so happy!

Look at the pillow! It resembles Anna Sui’s Powder Puff lah!

The Cosmetic Pouch, with leather lining with small little pouch sewn for keeping accesories too. Good for travelling. I like this!
On top of that! The friendly sales girl so honest she told me I got this reward card leh!! The reward card is for free Make Up sessions at the counter. Must make appointment first

After 4 redemptions of free make up, got Mystery Gift! ??! Why so good wan!!
I’m so excited, I wonder when I can go redeem for my first make up session. Haha
TweetShoe. Love or Hate
Posted by blurcheryl in Gorgeous in the Making, Shopping Bag Explode on June 14, 2011
I am so frustrated!!
My shoes is breaking down one by one and I have to go get new pairs. This is the one and only shopping I hate to do, not because I dont like heels, its just that I always ended up wasting money for nothing. Shopping for shoes is really not my forte because I sucks in choosing shoe for myself. Its a love hate situation that I struggle with. Either you choose pretty heels or have your skin scrape off most of the time.
When the time comes to shoe shopping I am really fussy about it, because I dont like to wear shoes that gave me blisters. Who does? That’s what I told myself when I go shopping. Anyway I still ended up buying the wrong shoes that hurt my feet because I choose pretty first and convince myself that its comfortable enough and will get better.
I tried to cheat my pain sensory nerve and that’s just stupid. *Hitting my head to the wall*
But I want to walk pretty!
Who doesnt? Tell me!! Tell Me!
What happen next was, I have to walk a painful path and its short enough to make me realize I cant stand the pain! I knew it !! I can’t cheat myself and I ended up buying yet another pair, the next pair and more pair of shoes. They are of different design anyway, for different occasion and different attire. Speaking of this, men wont understand this at all and I dont have enough gas to explain to them. How I wish they have one part of Jimmy Choo’s brain. The world’s a better place for us then.
Well…let me point you to the culprit. that triggers my shoe shopping madness. I tried this shoe on in the morning when I go buy it and I read in wikihow after that, I am suppose to buy shoe at 3pm to avoid disaster. Damn!
I ended up wearing this pair that gave me blister and I have to walk senget last Friday. Its suppose to be a happy day. Damn not cool. I imagine it to be comfortable as the heels are of moderate height about 1.5 inch. I thought I can wear this on daily basis to replace my black colour pump from Charles & Keith that is spoiled dy and Anna said its very ugly now. So I dump it into my office dustbin. I agree its looks damn gross.
This new pair is kept at office as of today, I’ll try to walk with it more often in the office to break the new shoes with some limping in process
Without any proper heels to match my daily office attire, I head to Isetan MV to find another pair of shoe and remembers Ashley recommended LuiLui brand before. I tried a pair at first to get a feel if its comfortable and ended up trying at least 6-7 pairs of the heels available and settled on just one pair for everyday wear. [I already spend a lot of money recently. Remember the watch? It cost me a BOMB]
Meanwhile, I felt so happy that I have Whatsapp and it proof useful because I couldn’t make up my mind which colour to choose. Brown of Purple? Brown or Purple? I kept asking myself and just sat there at the bench wearing 2 different colour heels and can’t decide. Thanks Jo and Jynn for picking up the colour for me!! Here’s the shoe I got and I am wearing it now, its comfortable!! I walk all over the departmental store with the new heels without the need to be hurried as its a weekday and I’m their first few customers. I have to make sure its comfortable or I’ll ended up with another pair that drives me swearing at ppl or turn moody all day. Thank God and have mercy on my feet, I am relieved now.
The shoe box in pink colour..lovely!
The purple colour heels.
At the same time, I also got another pair of flats from Twins, because one of the embelished florette on my Anne Klein has fall off and I couldn’t find it anymore. Feeling so angry at the maker, its a handmade pair and it doesn’t last as I expect it to be. Now I have to keep the AK flats back to the shoe box until I knew how to repair the damage.
Oh another new brand I was introduced to by Anna, its Opera which is available in One Utama or Fahrenheit. Their killer heels are so high but very comfy. Thumbs up!!
I got this pair from Opera the Kill Your Toes When I Step On You pair of heels. Its very very high and I am so afraid I’ll Pok Gai when I walk down the stairs. I love it but I cant wear it everyday, I have knee pain sometimes and all that screw the effects of aging!

Lets hope all these heels can last me many months from now. I really doesn’t like to shop for shoe!!! Pray for my shoes to last please.
