My JAPAN souvenier : Japan VISA
Posted by blurcheryl in Japan on April 8, 2011
My Japan trip was cancelled. Yes, how I wish I can go and that will be next week, and where I can step my foot at KLIA instead of LCCT. Its been a while since I go holiday departing from KLIA instead of the budget airline terminal.
Ah well, I even applied for the Japan Visa dy. Probably I should plan again going maybe 2 – 3 years from now, if I can still afford it. Or Europe before Japan. Anyway as a consolation the Japan Visa is now my souvenier.
Here’s how to apply for Japan Visa
VISA Application Form Here in PDF
Japan Visa takes 3 days to approve, but for a peace of mind you may apply the Visa ONE month earlier as your VISITOR pass is valid for 3 months from the date of application.
Documents you need

We have decided to postpone our Japan holiday this year to next April 2012 (hopefully) due to the earthquake in Japan on 11th March 2011 and the Radiation scare for the past week.
Months of planning for the trip and finally getting excited over it, at last we have to cancel our tickets. Thanks to Malaysia Airlines for letting us have a full refund of the ticket btw.
Now I have to send emails to my ex-bosses to inform of the cancellation and maybe its a good time for them to come for Cuti Cuti Malaysia.
And I got the first warn from Hubby just yesterday, I am definitely grounded if I want to make Travel to Japan 2012 happen.

I am still following very closely like every minute I will refresh the page of the Google Crisis Response on the recent Japan Earthquake.
If my employer stumble on my blog about me following the news closely, what I can say is I cared for your country, especially JAPAN. Is that alright to continue and do it openly? Still I did my job and my role in the office is not compromise with the time I spend online searching for updates and communicating with my Japanese ex-bosses who have now all of them finally responded and confirmed they are safe, unhurt but really scared.
Just right at this time while I am writing this post, I got this email from my colleaque and I found him really insensitive to what I’ve been going through.
He is asking money from me!
Goddamnit!
When I saw the email and thought I can scream at him only I found out he has gone back home.
Good Timing wtf!
So I replied him in very unfriendly manner, eventhough I did really owe him money from my last Friday shopping at Isetan Sale. Yea yea don’t judge me. I am sad and I do need some therapy to ease my pain over the disaster. Can anyone please understand? Its all about the emotions I am going through!
I am really in no mood but worried of the possible Radiations that will affect millions of ppl in this country and also neighbouring country. Pray hard for Japanese Government to be able to control and stop the crisis, whatever it is to bring everyone back to their normal life.
Please pray for Japan!

It is the time to think about my Japan trip wardrobe! I suppose the weather will still be cold or even cooler compare to when I was in Melbourne last year. Assuming la! So I shall pack clothes that can be wore in layers, mix and match until thick like bao dumpling also look nice. But before that I need to check what are the trend now in Japan so that I can blend in! According to Mean Queen I will definitely feel inferior when I reach there and have culture shock.
Nevermind, Japanese fashion sense makes no sense anyway. For people like me it may be good news. So I can wear anything and mix anything and still look fashionable!
If you dont believe me you see here. You can mix anything pastels, wear big bow on your hair with small bow, colourful stocking!
Even grandma match like this also dare to walk out the street! Okay I think she wasn’t a grandma yet given she dont have ugly wrinkle on her hand. But sorry she does look like one.
Mom!! Mom! Where’s your pyjamas? The ugly pants you bought in Hong Kong can I borrow it? Pair with Hubby’s working socks. Anyone gots a poncho that I can use? Totally IN-trend!
Okay I dont have a wig, should I get one? And also put on dramatic eyelashes with bling bling, bring my brother’s super smelly dog puppet of 30 years (pass down from my sis) that has no eyes, and stiches all over.
I think I wont have any problem blending into Japanese streets fashion! Totally effortless!
TweetTravel Budget : Japan 2011
Posted by blurcheryl in Holidays, Japan on January 25, 2011
I must say, I just pluck out the information from the Google Docs shared by Hubby’s friend to make the estimation for Japan Travel Budget. I wasn’t involve much on the planning / booking / researching for the Japan trip, because this time around the husbands are the one who do all that while the wives goyang kaki .. seronoknya!
Ahem.. I did tried to find some information on the shinkansen route (Wikipedia Shinkansen) but seriously I am confused! I guess leaving all this to the male to do it this time is a much better idea. Summo they are so excited to plan everything on their own, and the 3 husbands just discuss and decide on their own while informing the wives later. I suspect maybe because the expense comes from their pocket and Japan is one of the most expensive Asian country to travel to that’s why.
So here’s our overall planned budget for the Japan Trip in Spring 2011 per person.

You may notice that we budgeted JPY52,500 for Food & Beverage. According to my Hubby it is also agreed by all the husbands involved that JPY3,500 per day in Japan not only have to cover meals but also all the entrance fees if required! I just realised I have to shrink my stomach prior to my travel so that I eat lesser or I’ll die of starvation in Japan!
Total we need RM7,500 more or less for 15 days holiday. Cheap or not?
Here’s another table for reference. Same content la wahahahah.
I will blog about the actual expenditure when I come back from my holiday okay it’ll be in May.
TweetAwesomeness of Google Docs
Posted by blurcheryl in Japan on January 20, 2011
I didn’t know that we can share a file through google docs until Hubby’s friend use it to prepare our Japan itinerary including a number of separate spreadsheets for Budget, Itinerary, Lodging, Transport etc.
This tool is so awesome thanks to google’s team for their really smart ideas and hardwork! Bravo!
The person/author who create the file on Google Docs which start out as private can grant access to it by sharing it online. More fascinating is, you can see who is viewing the same file as you do on the top right corner and watch it updated at realtime live!
Isn’t it great? Its such a wonderful and useful tool that it made our planning for the Japan trip even more easier!
TweetDare you ? Onsen Nudity
Posted by blurcheryl in Japan on January 6, 2011
One of the guy going to Japan with us, told Hubby while he was taking his shower suddenly the idea of Onsen pops out of his nerdy mind. He’s a nerd. This followed by online chat among the 3 men and each of them have to go home to ask their missus if their menstrual cycle clashes with the travel dates. However, it seems that the 3 crazy husband agreed that even any one of the wife’s cycle might clashes with the dates, they will still go ahead with Onsen.
Speaking of Onsen, would you go ?
Frankly, the thought of Onsen Nudity Freaks me out!
To go for the Onsen, one have to bath vigorously before enter the hot spring bath.
Lets imagine, get naked completely with other ladies, sit on a stool with a bar of soap on hand and start bathing/rinsing and trying to avoid stares/ glances from other guest. Meanwhile other guest already dip in the pool, staring at my back and my butt while I seated there washing like watching TV. Then I start imagining someone is looking at me on how I wash myself maybe while I wash my ass then I turn my head and saw oh my gosh! Her boobs are Big! Quickly turn my head and thoughts of running somewhere to hide and got depressed comparing boobs and concluded my ass is bigger than them in victory! Aiyo this is nightmare lah!!
So I have to embrace myself and prepare my heart and soul to expose my nen nen and fat ass for the onsen experience. I am going to faint at the thought I will be exposed to 2 missus that I know off. The mental turmoil is even greater when you are going to get naked with someone you know right? *Laugh & cold sweat at the same time*
By the way, I guess I’d still have a mini handkerchief for me to cover whichever part of my body, I assume cover the bulu place right? Which one is more rude? To shave or not to shave?

Forget the Language Condition
Posted by blurcheryl in Japan, Musings and Rants on January 5, 2011
In this conversation, I only understand 20% of what’s written by guessing most of it FML!
If any of you recalls, in 2010 I attended 2 semesters of Japanese Language and since drop out of school class because I have finally diagnosed the real problem of myself not being able to comprehend the language.
My diagnostic findings was I have a Forget the Language Condition which attacks when once I step out of classroom, I’d peed out all I’ve learned at the toilet. Even a refresher memory course while on the way for dinner with the fellow classmates aka The ’Gila’ Mui, Jor Sau Feng and Mean Queen couldn’t help! Fuck the Language!
Still I need to again learn the language before going to Japan.. aiyo
