Shoe. Love or Hate

I am so frustrated!!

My shoes is breaking down one by one and I have to go get new pairs. This is  the one and only shopping I hate to do, not because I dont like heels, its just that I always ended up wasting money for nothing. Shopping for shoes is really not my forte because I sucks in choosing shoe for myself. Its a love hate situation that I struggle with. Either you choose pretty heels or have your skin scrape off most of the time.

When the time comes to shoe shopping I am really fussy about it, because I dont like to wear shoes that gave me blisters. Who does? That’s what I told myself when I go shopping. Anyway I still ended up buying the wrong shoes that hurt my feet because I choose pretty first and convince myself that its comfortable enough and will get better.

I tried to cheat my pain sensory nerve and that’s just stupid. *Hitting my head to the wall*

But I want to walk pretty!

Who doesnt?  Tell me!! Tell Me!

What happen next was, I have to walk a painful path and its short enough to make me realize I cant stand the pain! I knew it !! I can’t cheat myself and I  ended up buying yet another pair, the next pair and more pair of shoes. They are of different design anyway, for different occasion and different attire. Speaking of this, men wont understand this at all and I dont have enough gas to explain to them. How I wish they have one part of Jimmy Choo’s brain. The world’s a better place for us then.

Well…let me point you to the culprit. that triggers my shoe shopping madness. I tried this shoe on in the morning when I go buy it and I read in wikihow after that, I am suppose to buy shoe at 3pm to avoid disaster. Damn!

I ended up wearing this pair that gave me blister and I have to walk senget last Friday. Its suppose to be a happy day. Damn not cool. I imagine it to be comfortable as the heels are of moderate height  about 1.5 inch. I thought I can wear this on daily basis to replace my black colour pump from Charles & Keith that is spoiled dy and Anna said its very ugly now. So I dump it into my office dustbin. I agree its looks damn gross.

This new pair is kept at office as of today,  I’ll try to walk with it more often in the office to break the new shoes with some limping in process :(

Without any proper heels to match my daily office attire,  I head to Isetan MV to find another pair of shoe and remembers Ashley recommended LuiLui brand before. I tried a pair at first to get a feel if its comfortable and ended up trying at least  6-7 pairs of the heels available and settled on just one pair for everyday wear. [I already spend a lot of money recently. Remember the watch? It cost me a BOMB]

Meanwhile, I felt so happy that I have Whatsapp and it proof useful because I couldn’t make up my mind which  colour to choose. Brown of Purple? Brown or Purple? I kept asking myself and just sat there at the bench wearing 2 different colour heels and can’t decide. Thanks Jo and Jynn for picking up the colour for me!! Here’s the shoe I got and I am wearing it now, its comfortable!!  I walk all over the departmental store with the new heels without the need to be hurried as its a weekday and I’m their first few customers.  I have to make sure its comfortable or I’ll ended up with another pair that drives me swearing at ppl or turn moody all day. Thank God and have mercy on my feet, I am relieved now.

The shoe box in pink colour..lovely!

The purple colour heels.

At the same time, I also got another pair of flats from Twins, because one of the embelished florette on my Anne Klein has fall off and I couldn’t find it anymore. Feeling so angry at the maker, its a handmade pair and it doesn’t last as I expect it to be. Now I have to keep the AK flats back to the shoe box until I knew how to repair the damage.

Oh another new brand I was introduced to by Anna, its Opera which is available in One Utama or Fahrenheit. Their killer heels are so high but very comfy. Thumbs up!!

I  got this pair from Opera the Kill Your Toes When I Step On You pair of heels. Its very very high and I am so afraid I’ll Pok Gai when I walk down the stairs. I love it but I cant wear it everyday, I have knee pain sometimes and all that screw the effects of aging!

Lets hope all these heels can last me many months from now. I really doesn’t like to shop for shoe!!! Pray for my shoes to last please.

New Addition: Blender

This is the latest addition to my kitchen appliances. Have been eyeing one for a couple of months, at first thought of getting a cheap one then after a few store hopping started to think of getting better ones that you can make smoothies with it.

Then before I decide to make the purchase, I asked myself. How many times will I make my own smoothies? I cannot come out with an answer because I knew I wont make smoothies at home. Smoothies is not in my favourite drink list, and I can say I dont fancy Smoothies. So why should I spend RM400+ to get a blender that can make good smoothies I wondered.

At last I chose this blender that cost me RM75 only and I can make ….. guess what?

Home made Mask!

And how many times I made a Mask?

ONCE!!!

The price of my mask? Cucumber + bittergourd blend = RM75 + RM5=RM80 a jar!

[ Yeobo!! Please shut up!]

Such a good deal! I dont clean up for him, and I black face and banned him from his outing and he got me this! I am not encouraging him, but there’s a price to pay when he is pissed drunk right!?

Skincare splurge time

This is not about my beauty diary’s diary. This is about recent skincare buy, its a bit impulsive but for the sake of my face I had to give more attention to it. Besides, look at this absolutely cute packaging from My Beauty Diary I bought yesterday. Price at RM39.90 an introductory price for a small box of limited edition travel size which includes 2 mask, a bottle of Vanilla Souffle Face Scrub and Strawberry Yogurt Cleanser.

OMG talk about food on your face.. sweet!

Pink packaging summo. That jar of yogurt just makes me drool and its strawberry summo!! Chocolate Truffle Mask? If the mask can be eaten you bet I sure ask my hubby to lick clean my face. Don’t waste mah!

No wonder My Beauty Diary named it as My Tea Time Range.

Too cute!!

Also, I have recently finish the jar of Origins Youthopia Skin Firming Cream I have been using (the only skincare that I use until its all gone) and I decided to search and try out new brands of skincare on the market that doesn’t hurt my pocket that much. Yes I am being hopeful that with a fraction of price in comparison I’ll have the same benefits. I bought the latest Hada Labo moisturiser but it is too rich for my skin, so I am going to use it on my neck and slap it on hubby’s face.  I also bought a tube of VICHY’s Normaderm range’s  moisturiser as recommended by Anna. Its light weight and smell fresh! I am already using it now with the hope it suits my skin, soothes my skin.. then I can move on with the search of anti aging, anti wrinkle, firming and also eye treatment product. Sounds scary and crazy I know!

Having written all that here… what I said and do always contradict because I am frickled minded. Recently  I even considered getting the La Mer Creme. Thank you God.. that my extreme thoughts were blown off once I got the news article Jynn shared with me. Its a relieve and I am kind of happy that I dont have to think about it anymore or even save money to get the Miracle Broth because I knew the broth may or may not give me beautiful skin but will guarantee a very negative blow to my hubby and sending me to hell, literally. That is something really scary, like turning into a Monster Shopaholic. Price tag for transformation? Approx RM535 for the smallest jar.

The Out of Control Risk is there. That’s why I dont carry a credit card of my own and  I am happy with that!

Note: Thanks Jynn, Miracle Broth is off my chest now. Thanks Anna and Jo, for the RM30 Isetan Voucher haha!

In Love with Gem of Destiny

April is the month of Diamond. I love Diamonds !!! Anyway I am not talking about Diamond today.

It has been difficult and emotionally torturous to me since last week when I have an impaired judgement after I set my eyes on a Sapphire Pendant with diamond settings at one of the local jewellery store. [ Wah I sound so serious]

The truth is, if not  because of my diamond pendant has broken the 2nd time  costing me RM50 for the repair I will not have this horrific idea of getting the Sapphire pendant at all. [I do feel guilty, awful man!!] It sounds so familiar to Hubby whenever I want to get something, I will always have a valid reason for it. I have since given up the idea of changing Hubby’s thought on his shopaholic wife so I ignore his comment altogether.

What can I do?

So I politely asked if he could get me the Sapphire Pendant and I got rejected. fml!

I played my cards wrong this time! I should have wear some sexy lingerie, pair with sexy voice ‘slightly deep’ and  in alluring demeanor blow some kisses, dreamy puppy eyes gaze with bedroom hairstyle la before asking him. Not to say it’ll work  all the time but I’ll have my best shot.

Like I mentioned it didn’t work out well the first time. So I asked again the next day. It was Thursday when I first asked him, then Friday then I asked him on Saturday and Sunday, taking a different approach: I asked blantly straight forward like what my eldest niece did.

Here’s how the conversation goes:

Me: Ny.. Do you want to buy me ‘that’ Sapphire Pendant?
Hubby: No

Like I said its straight forward and I got rejected straight to my beautiful face!

Damn! Damn! I don’t take NO for answers?! I need something to wear on my neck! A women must have something to wear on her neck!!

So I continued asking for the next couple of days until I got a YES!!

Yup.. a YES!!!

How did I asked?

Here goes the conversation:

Me: Ny Do you want to buy me Sapphire? ( so what if its the same question?)
Hubby: Can!

You see!!

Persistence!

Alright to be truthful, he’ll put it this way:

Hubby: If you really want it then Ok lor?!

Follow by:

Hubby: Terms and Conditions

I am not going into the Terms and Conditions because… well I better not make it an evident here in this blog or one day he’ll dig this up and bite me!

This is how the pendant looks:

Colour Contact Lens – Belita

Last Saturday Lot 10 has this pre-renovation sales and Yeobo wants to get the Golf Shoe @ RM99 per pair. That is like 70% cheaper. Too bad, its sold out on Friday itself for his size  including the one in KLCC and The Gardens according to the sales person.

Coincidently our niece Jess Lynn (who got 7 A’s in her SPM exam  including 5A +) were here so we went over to Sg Wang to shop too. There’s lots of clothes selling at the price of RM25 in Sg Wang and its the first time I went to shop there after more than 10 yrs. Omg that is so long right? We get pretty excited looking at the price tag and the selection of clothes available, some are of good quality despite the price, just no trying …but who cares.

While we shop, Yeobo wait for us at Starbucks playing games on iPhone. So I dont have my phone with me, but I warn my niece and SIL dont lost me.

We went to the new Fashion city too inside Sg Wang, lots of boutiques but not with the RM25 price tag so we didn’t get any clothes from there. Some of the selections is quite nice though.

Then I saw a booth selling coloured contact lens and went ahead to get one.

I chose Nude pink from Belita like this.

Nudy Pink

The number of selection for contact lens with power is rather limited, but I am happy I can get the pink coloured ones and the girl selling it is wearing the same and it look nice!

Can wear for 3 months

Pink colour lens and Pink colour container

I have not tried it on yet don’t know if it’ll suit me hehe

Isetan Sale March 2011

Actually how do you pronounce ISETAN? As I remembered my colleaque pronounce it as ‘Ai Setan’ in Malay it means ‘ Saya Setan’ or in English  ‘I am Devil’. haha hilarious

*both palm on face* I know its not funny.

As some of you may know I am really a big fan of ISETAN supermarket. Whenever I receives my newsletter I actually feeling really delightful and will quickly open the clear plastic envelope as if I am unwrapping a gift and quickly glance every page of the newsletter to see if there’s anything interest me. Even there’s none at that moment, I will keep on looking at the newsletter a while later, while I am watching a movie with hubby, whenever I remember having the newsletter. That is why I also toss the newsletter on the dining table, easily visible for me to take it and run through it again just in case I missed something there.

Some ISETAN members are not receiving the newsletter anymore, but they can view it online or print the PDF copy but for me I am a sucker for their paper newsletter, so eventhough I have the options to choose e-newsletter I am not willing to surrender not having paper newsletter.

Are you bored?

Okay lets get to the picture part… see what I bought last weekend, some of them la. I went to ISETAN, The Gardens on Friday evening afterwork with my colleaque, then went to ISETAN Lot 10 on Saturday morning followed by ISETAN KLCC in the afternoon. Call me hardcore ISETAN fans … haha

Hubby bought New Balance running shoes and I didn’t bother to take the picture of it because mine is more awesome! In fact I am too excited and engrossed with my shoes that I want to show it off!

whoops

My Waterproof shoes with Gore-Tex technology by Timberland

Nice or not? Got Fatigue Free sole also. How does it work? wtf

When Hubby chose this glove I actually thought of asking him whether did he choose this one because of its brand – ‘T I T leist’. But I refrain to ask because he said its comfortable.. bwahahahahhaha of course..!!

Also bought a new pair of goggles to ‘enhance my style’.

And drop by Kinokuniya and in less than 5 minutes grab the book written by our ex-Prime Minister titled ‘A Doctor In The House’ before heading home.

I also forced my colleague  last Friday to help me carry a few packs of Kleenex Toilet Rolls bought from Isetan at RM11.90 and a number of Seafood Kimchi Ramen at RM12.90, surprise buy of 2 big bottles of Marmite at RM21.90. What else did I buy……… Oh I got a whole set of Kose Sekkisei for RM200, normal price  about RM350, good buy right?

Then I wanted to go to get the Anna Sui products  but The Gardens , Isetan dont have Anna Sui. Went to Lot 10 Isetan, dont have Origins. By the time sampai Isetan KLCC, no money to buy Anna Sui or even Origins after I bought my Timberland shoes. fml

Okay, this is getting boring .. I am back to Japan Earthquake updates live on  BBC
